recollections and remembrances.
Thursday, September 24, 2009 She sat at a corner of her room, the four walls creating a barrier around her. She was alone, left to her own emotions that she now spilled, in the form of tears. Dampening her face, she continued. Every tear was imbued with chronological events that went by. A splitting headache followed, and she had to lie down, head in her palms, while those little beads of tears continued to flow down. She replayed the events that led to her breakdown; like an old video player with rolls of film whizzing by and they were being played. One tear reminded her of how she went overboard on the first day. What was simply meant to be fun with her good friend, ended up aggravating the pain on her. She heard a 5 second angry outburst, and she felt the world was crumbling. Her heart guided her to write a note of apology to her, received with open palms. Another tear brought back recollections of the next day. That friend of hers never uttered a word to her. She saw the cold stare of her friend, hitting back at her like a slap; and memories of the first day flashed by. Her tears was just about to be released, but she had just enough strength within her to control herself. The next tear, reminded her of the next day. The cold war continued. She felt confused; I thought she would have forgiven, and forgotten about the event, she thought in her head; but it proved wrong. The day ended short; it was already scheduled to be like that. She walked away, feeling the pillar of strength slowly breaking at the foundations. All the rest of her tears was devoted to the last day, today, which she felt was like a compilation of the recent events that she had experienced before. The war came to a higher peak. When she approached her friend, she'd walk away. Every attempt to begin a conversation halted. It was as though her friend had completely walked away from her innocently. What she didn't know was that the path she diverted from, left a path of destruction. It released some sort of virus; not a virus, but to her felt like one; in her heart, eating it slowly, as she cried and cried, without any person to comfort her. An acute pain shot through her head. An unknown darkness clouded her eyes.
